A journey to the Slim Dusty Centre will become a pilgrimage for all Australians to come together to celebrate our musical heritage, the people’s King of Country and the everyday Australian's who make our country great. What a fitting monument to a monumental bloke.``

It’s a dream come true. It’s fitting the centre will serve the community of the Macleay Valley, where Slim’s journey began, and will attract people from all over the country and international visitors. I can’t wait to get to the centre.``
